In truth, 2018 proved quite difficult for me as a writer.
I was not as productive or creative as planned.
I struggled to manage two websites and blogs.
I did not meet writing goals or schedules.
I missed multiple book publishing deadlines.
I fell short in marketing, promotion, and sales.
I stumbled in every other facet of my job.
I failed to balance work and home because I chose to put family first.
I wanted to accomplish more but needed to do less.
I had to let things go so I could hold onto what mattered.
I feared this might be the end. It proved to be another beginning.
I remain inspired.
To write. To dream. To keep going every time I fall.
I will make mistakes and look for the lessons.
I will face fears and jump outside imaginary comfort zones.
I will start over. I will begin again.
In so many ways, it has been a wonderful year … one of the very best.
Wishing you the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year!
